Vandals damage a statue at Harvard and target the homes of leaders at the University of Michigan.

**Vandalism at Harvard and University of Michigan Linked to Pro-Palestinian Protests** In a series of vandalism incidents, a statue and an administration building at Harvard University, along with the homes of two prominent officials at the University of Michigan, were targeted by protesters aligned with pro-Palestinian sentiments. Early Tuesday morning, the iconic statue of John Harvard in Harvard Yard was splattered with what appeared to be fake blood, and windows were shattered at University Hall. This occurred following a vigil held in remembrance of the October 7 attacks on Israel. In Michigan, the suburban residences of Santa Ono, the university president, and Erik Lundberg, the chief investment officer, were also vandalized. The words "intifada" and "coward" were spray-painted on Ono’s home, while Lundberg’s property was similarly defaced on Monday. The identity of the perpetrators remains uncertain. A group known as Unity of Fields released a video on social media platform X, reportedly showing the vandalism at Harvard. They labeled the individuals responsible as “autonomous actors” acting “in solidarity with the Palestinian resistance.” According to the Anti-Defamation League, Unity of Fields, previously called Palestine Action US, is described as a far-left group that promotes direct action against entities perceived as supportive of Zionism. Harvard University is currently conducting an investigation into the vandalism, with a spokesperson for Harvard police indicating that they cannot comment on ongoing inquiries. The group also reported similar acts of vandalism at the City University of New York’s advanced science research center and at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, along with other locations, some accompanied by the slogan “Bring the War Home.”
