The Nobel Prize season is here, with committees in Sweden and Norway set to announce laureates in various fields such as science, literature, economics, and peace work. Six prizes will be awarded, with recipients receiving medals and diplomas in Stockholm in December. The prizes recognize outstanding contributions in physiology or medicine, physics, chemistry, economics, literature, and peace work. This year, there are 285 candidates for the Nobel Peace Prize, with announcements scheduled from Oct. 7 to Oct. 14. Laureates will receive a diploma, a medal, and a monetary award of 11 million Swedish kronor. Last year's recipients included Jon Fosse for Literature, Narges Mohammadi for peace work, and Katalin Karikó and Drew Weissman for Physiology or Medicine.
