Heavy rainfall causing flooding in Bosnia in the Balkans.

A night of heavy rainfall in southern Bosnia resulted in at least 16 fatalities and widespread flooding and landslides. The worst-hit area was the municipality of Jablanica, with 14 reported deaths. Rescue efforts are ongoing, with the EU Force in Bosnia and local teams assisting. The disaster has caused significant damage, with homes submerged, roads destroyed, and bridges washed away. The government has declared a state disaster and allocated funds for relief efforts. Experts warn that slow disaster response and changing climate patterns could lead to more severe disasters in the future.
