Information revealed about the death of Tyre Nichols through the prosecution's case.

Federal prosecutors have concluded their arguments against three ex-Memphis officers accused of violating Tyre Nichols' civil rights by beating him to death. The case presented over a dozen days and involving nearly 20 witnesses detailed a culture of excessive force and secrecy within the Memphis Police Department. Testimony revealed how officers did not prevent the beating of Nichols, a Black FedEx worker, and how they imposed a "run tax" for those fleeing. Medical personnel testified that Nichols' injuries were severe, but officers had not disclosed the extent of the violence. The prosecution highlighted past instances of excessive force by the officers. The officers' defense is now presenting its case, arguing for acquittal based on training quality and intent. The trial continues with further witnesses and cross-examination.
