A man was arrested following a stabbing incident involving a woman and a girl in London's Leicester Square.


An 11-year-old girl and her 34-year-old mother were stabbed in London's Leicester Square, a popular tourist destination. The police reported that the victims were hospitalized, with the girl requiring treatment for non-life-threatening injuries and her mother sustaining minor injuries. A 32-year-old man was arrested at the scene, and the police stated that there were no additional suspects. While the motive is under investigation, the police indicated that the attack was not terror-related. The incident occurred just two weeks after a fatal knife attack in Southport. Witnesses, including a shop employee named Abdullah, intervened to help the victims. The police praised their bravery and confirmed that the investigation is ongoing.
