Air Europa flight experiences severe turbulence, resulting in neck and skull fractures.

An Air Europa flight from Spain to Uruguay encountered severe turbulence, resulting in over two dozen passengers being injured, some with neck and skull fractures. The plane made an emergency landing in Brazil, where 36 passengers received medical treatment and 23 were hospitalized. The incident, occurring less than a month after a similar turbulence-related injury case, highlights the potential dangers of turbulence, a phenomenon that can be exacerbated by climate change. Although turbulence is generally not life-threatening, it can cause significant harm, particularly to passengers not wearing seatbelts.
