Young voters in the U.K. perceive that politicians have neglected them.

On a windy June morning, Liam Kehoe and his colleagues went on strike outside Royal Liverpool University Hospital, seeking better pay for workers. Kehoe, 26, plans to vote for the Labour Party due to economic concerns and the state of the National Health Service. Younger voters are leaning towards Labour, feeling neglected by the Conservatives. The generational divide in politics has become more pronounced, with age now being a defining factor in voting behavior. Many young people feel disenfranchised and are considering third-party candidates or not voting at all. The older generation's priorities have dominated political messaging, leading to discontent among the youth. Brexit and housing are major concerns, with many feeling that their needs are not being addressed. Both young Conservatives and progressives on the left feel overlooked and are seeking representation that aligns with their views.
