Turkey stops trading with Israel as relations worsen.

Turkey has announced a complete halt in trade with Israel until there is unrestricted and sufficient humanitarian aid allowed into Gaza. This decision, which includes a pause in exports and imports for all products, marks a further decline in the relationship between the two countries. The move was prompted by Israel's foreign minister accusing Turkey's president of blocking ports for Israeli imports and exports. Turkey's leader, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has strongly criticized Israel's actions in Gaza and has taken steps to restrict trade with Israel, citing the worsening humanitarian situation in Palestine. This decision follows export restrictions imposed earlier in April and Turkey's announcement to join South Africa's genocide case against Israel at the International Court of Justice.
