The Biden administration has imposed around 300 new sanctions on international suppliers of military equipment technology, targeting those aiding Russia's rearmament amid the conflict in Ukraine. Notably, the sanctions encompass Chinese entities, signaling a growing concern about China's role in supporting Russia. These actions aim to disrupt Russia's military industrial complex supply chain and its evasion networks. The sanctions also extend to companies in Azerbaijan, Belgium, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates, as well as individuals associated with Moscow's procurement of materials for chemical and biological weapons programs. The U.S. hopes that these sanctions, supported by an executive order signed by President Biden last year, will have a significant impact in curbing Russia's access to military technology and equipment.
