Students at Trinity College Dublin take down an antiwar protest camp.

Students protesting the war in Gaza at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, dismantled their camp after the institution agreed to divest from three Israeli companies linked to settlements in Palestinian territories. Trinity also committed to future divestment from other Israeli companies and expressed solidarity with the students' cause. The peaceful protest, organized by the student union and BDS movement, resulted in the college's decision. The support for the Palestinian cause in Ireland is strong, with the government expressing intent to recognize a Palestinian state. Trinity's review of ties with Israel will resemble its approach to addressing its colonial legacy, including renaming a library previously named after a slave-owning graduate.
