Daily Dumpling: Rescuers in Nepal recover the remains of an American climber and her guide.

Rescuers have successfully recovered the bodies of American climber Anna Gutu and her guide, Mingmar Sherpa, from Mount Shishapangma in Tibet, seven months after they were lost in an avalanche. Gutu was aiming to become the first American woman to climb 14 mountains over 8,000 meters. The bodies were retrieved by a team led by Nirmal Purja, who described the mission as one of the most challenging he had ever undertaken. Another American climber, Gina Marie Rzucidlo, and her guide, Tenjen Lama, also lost their lives in a separate avalanche on the same mountain. Efforts to retrieve their bodies were postponed after China denied access to the area.
