Palestinian flags are seen at protests around the world, but they will not be present at Eurovision.

The Eurovision Song Contest, set to begin in Malmo, Sweden, has banned the display of Palestinian flags and slogans related to the Israel-Gaza conflict. Attendees are limited to waving flags representing the 37 participating countries, with the exception of rainbow and pride flags. Protests against Israel's participation have been ongoing, with some calling for a ban due to the Gaza military campaign. The European Broadcasting Union, however, maintains that Eurovision is apolitical and aims to unite countries. Despite the ban, pro-Palestinian demonstrations outside the arena will be allowed. The decision has caused controversy among fans, with some expressing disapproval and planning alternative events.
