An unforgettable evening at the opera, featuring a phantom.

In the dimly lit Teatro Costanzi in Rome, children were introduced to the opera house's resident phantom, Emma Carelli, as part of an effort to engage young audiences. With music education in Italy being a low priority, the opera house is taking it upon itself to reach out to children and make opera more accessible. The sleepover event, which included activities like watching a rehearsal and participating in workshops, aimed to familiarize the children with the theater and its art forms. The initiative is part of a broader strategy to cultivate a younger audience and counteract the decline of Italy's opera culture. The event was well-received by the children, many of whom had never visited a theater before, and it is hoped that such experiences will inspire a new generation of opera enthusiasts.
