A woman who marketed counterfeit Ozempic on TikTok is now facing a charge of smuggling.


A New York woman, Isis Navarro Reyes, was arrested for selling unauthorized weight-loss drugs through TikTok. She falsely claimed to be licensed to administer medication and sold drugs like Ozempic, which she obtained from Central and South America. The drugs caused severe injuries to some victims. Reyes also sold other unapproved drugs for weight loss, leading to serious health issues for buyers. She faces charges including smuggling and distributing misbranded drugs, with a maximum sentence of 20 years for smuggling. Reyes appeared in court and was granted bail at $25,000, with strict conditions imposed. This case is part of a series involving unlicensed weight-loss drugs, highlighting the dangers of such illegal activities.
