Indigenous artists are at the core of the Venice Biennale.

Indigenous artists will have a prominent presence at the 2024 Venice Biennale, with MAHKU from the Brazilian Amazon creating a mural on the central exhibition hall, and Inuuteq Storch representing Greenland with a sign above the pavilion's entrance. The Indigenous presence aims to rewrite history and add a new chapter to art history. The central exhibition features a diverse lineup of Indigenous artists, including the Mataaho Collective, Kay WalkingStick, and artists from Australia, Brazil, and Maori. Individual pavilions showcase works by Archie Moore from Australia, Glicéria Tupinambá from Brazil, Inuuteq Storch from Denmark, and Maria Madeira from Timor-Leste, each offering unique perspectives and artistic expressions.
