Doris Kearns Goodwin, a Pulitzer Prize-winning historian, recently moved from her beloved 19th-century farmhouse in Concord, Mass., following her husband's passing. The house, filled with cherished memories, became too large and evoked too much grief. She relocated to a Boston condo, where she wrote her new book, drawing from her late husband's extensive collection of historical materials. Despite the emotional challenges of leaving her home, she has found solace in her new surroundings and the convenience of city living. She has also donated a portion of her extensive book collection to the Concord Free Public Library.
