Experienced hiker Christopher Roma, 38, was found dead after getting stuck on a New Hampshire trail during a day hike. Despite his extensive hiking experience, he faced challenging weather conditions, including waist-deep snow and single-digit temperatures. Rescue efforts were hindered by the weather, and by the time a team reached him, he had passed away. Known as Rafiki on the trails, Roma had completed the triple crown of hiking and ran a company helping others prepare for long treks. His family and friends mourn his loss but take comfort in knowing he died doing what he loved.
