Congress Clears Stopgap Spending Bill for Biden, Moving to Avert Shutdown


Congress has passed a temporary spending bill to prevent a government shutdown, giving President Biden more time to negotiate and pass long-term funding. The bill received strong bipartisan support in the Senate and was narrowly approved in the House. It provides funding for federal agencies until early March, allowing lawmakers to avoid a crisis at the last minute.
